Let the Gananoque Inn & Spa create a memorable night as we present a themed Murder Mystery Dinner. We promise great fun with this entertaining package. Join us in this hilarious and murderous event! The Plot: Resort To Murder Among the jewels of Muskoka in the early decades of the 20th Century stood the White Pine Island Lodge resort. By 1935, however, the lingering Great Depression has taken its toll on the flow of visitors, and the lodge is in danger of failing. This weighs most heavily on the lodge's current owner, Cyril Worthy, and he is desperate to find a buyer. To this end, he opens the resort in the off-season for a promotional weekend. He has his hopes set on a wealthy American guest whose writer wife has a great love for the area. All is not clear sailing, however, for the lodge is rundown, and the rich guest is no fool. Meanwhile, Cyril's front desk clerk has discovered some accounting irregularities, his drunken groundskeeper appears to be free to do as he pleases, an uninvited stranger turns up with uncertain motives, and someone tries to burn down the lodge.
